If you follow this blog, you’ll have noticed that I haven’t posted in a long, long time. Something like a year.
Part of that was because I wanted to move this entire blog to my actual website, and have it as a self-hosted WordPress blog.
It’s taken a while to get it set up, because of Reasons, but it’s all done now, and this blog (and all the comments) have successfully been migrated to their new home!
As part of the move, I’m also migrating my followers; so if you enjoyed reading this blog, you’ll continue to get all the posts. If you were used to seeing my posts in your WordPress.com Reader, it’s my understanding that they will continue to show up there.
If you would prefer to get e-mails letting you know when I post something new, you can sign up for that over on the new blog.
I’m pretty excited about this, although there’s still a huge amount of work to be done before I’ll be happy with the whole site upgrade. Among other things, that blog is still using the default 2015 theme. But it will get better!
So welcome to the new blog, where I will actually be posting regularly again!
Can’t wait to see you over there. 😀
So, I wasn’t sure that I was going to keep building anything in Second Life. But it turns out that some things are just fun to make, so I’m going to keep creating there; but not all day, every day. (That was ridiculous.)

I’ve been sick for days and days and days.
It’s a cycle I seem to repeat far too often.
I get some kind of virus, and it knocks me out for a week or two. Then I start to feel better, but I’m so very, very far behind. So I work like mad, trying to catch up. And then… I get sick.
Rinse and repeat.

The other day, I read a post at Waking of the Bear that spoke of Heroes, Gurus, and Friends. He mentions that he’s not a hero, because he hates conflict, and he says that Heroes seem to love conflict.
I disagree. Continue reading The Anatomy of a Hero
I think that life is too short to do things you don’t enjoy doing.
And yet, there are some things that simply must be done; like housework, dishes, and paperwork.
So what do I do about that?

I’ll admit it. I love fibers. I love the drape of satin, the bright colors of silk, the crispness of cotton. I love the feeling of soft wool yarn running over my fingers. I love the sound of shears cutting through felt. I love the promise of uncut yards of cloth. Heck, I even love the smell of new wool. Continue reading Fiber Love
I’m taking part in the Zero to Hero challenge, here at WordPress.
Today, the challenge is to write to that one person we hope would read our blog. The one we are trying to reach.
This is my post, to all those who are burning with creativity, but are sure their work isn’t “good enough.” Continue reading Open Letter to Those Who Aren’t “Good Enough.”
